Isaiah 41:10
[10] fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (ESV)
I have not written purposely for the last month and a half, as major life transitions have happened so that I may repent of sin and be accountable to others in my walk with Christ. The path of santification has not been easy, but it nonetheless needs to be earnestly fought for, for the Lord Himself has stated:
Matthew 18:8–9
[8] And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire. [9] And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire. (ESV)
I had come to the end of myself in my desire to satisfy my flesh in sexual sin. There is a long story here that I am not in the space to elaborate of, but to keep a long story short, I decided to move back in with family as a measure in recovery to cut off too much freedom to find comfort in strange women who I have no business dealing with.
However, the path has not been perfect nor straightforward.
For each time I stumble, the Lord shows His loving-kindness, and a rembrance of who He is from the oringin of time that implants such a seal of holiness in my heart that my desire is for none other than Him.
A weekend ago, as I was wandering aimlessly in the South Bay of Northern California, the rain had let up enough during a pocket of sunshine where a rainbow had appeared in the sky. And as I was stuck in traffic admiring this symbol of His promise to Noah, the presence of the Lord visited me during my drive home as I thought of His covenant with His people and the nature of God, whom changes not. . .
It really makes me wonder to my utmost being on why the Father takes account of man, knowing I as a mere man is just a breadth in the wind, passing away as time goes on, on a polluted, over-populated planet heading straight to Hell.
But because of His mercy and his enduring love for me, I have found new hope in my Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be your name! Your kingdom come, Your will be done!
