I am Joseph Ong–a disciple of Jesus Christ.
My web blog is a collection of writings birthed through trials and tribulation, tears, grace, mercy, and unshakable hope. I created it to testify not just of hardship, but of the presence and power of God through it all.
I live with Bipolar Disorder Type 1 with psychotic features and Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1. It has challenged me profoundly since my teenage years–at times reducing me to isolation, disability and despair. But by the grace of Christ, whose strength is made perfect in weakness, I’ve overcome and continue to walk forward. Not through my own willpower, but through the blood of the Lamb, the word of my testimony, and not loving my life even unto death.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (ESV)
At first, I began writing to document the Lord’s discipline in my life—but over time, He’s shown me more of His mercy, love, and faithfulness. This blog is my altar of remembrance, and you’re welcome here.
If something I’ve written resonates with you, feel free to reach out. May you be blessed, encouraged, and sharpened in your own walk—especially if you’re carrying a cross of your own.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” — Romans 8:18
